Competition Commission update

The Competition Commission has outlined its "statement of issues" for areas it will look at during its inquiry into the grocery sector. It had identified several areas for close investigation, including the relationship between supermarkets and their suppliers, local competition and the planning regime, including whether retailers have been building up landbanks to prevent rivals opening new outlets.
